summarise briefly Teachers’ shiatsu experience/training

Elaine began studying Shiatsu at the East West Centre, London, in 1980. Having completed Kushi Institute Levels 1 & 2 she went on to study with leading teachers from Britain, USA and Japan, noteably Harriet Devlin, Shinmei Kishi, Wataru Ohashi, Shizuko Yamamoto and Pauline Sasaki. Elaine's most extensive training was in Zen Shiatsu as taught by Pauline Sasaki.

 Liz  trained at the British School of Shiatsu-Do, including study with Sensei Ohashi, Pauline Sasaki and Saul Goodman, and graduated in 1986.

how does your school define shiatsu? Shiatsu, like Acupuncture works on the body's vital energy (known as 'Ki' or 'Chi'), and by harmonising this energy promotes better health and strengthens the body's own self-healing abilities. Shiatsu Therapy, is a healing art which draws its theory and techniques from both traditional Oriental Medicine and from Western massage practice.
